Bloodhound Super Sonic Car
This week, British engineers begin construction of the Bloodhound, and can reach the speed of a thousand miles an hour.
Planners hope it will end in three years and also beat the land speed record. Mark Abbey spokesman said the team at Hampson are both excited and honored to start the construction.
It is powered by the vehicle with the help of a supersonic jet engine and the position of the hybrid rocket. With the help of this power of combination products will be 135,000 horsepower, and it is equivalent to the power of 180 Formula One cars. The wheel diameter is 900 mm, which is made of anodized aluminum and will resist rotation of more than 10,000 rpm.
Engineers, which belongs to the field of Hampson Industries in Wigan now have handed design. Driving means test will begin in January next year before going to South Africa for his speed run.
The facade will be built by Advance Composites groups. In 1997 the land speed record was set by Andy Green in Thrust SSC when he gained speed 760 mph.
Will host the record attempt Blood hound and is also working with his colleagues, the head aerodynamic Ron Ayres and project director Richard Noble. In the team while training for the Bloodhound has more than 4,000 participating schools.
The only purpose is to pursue a career in engineering, mathematics, science and technology.
